Ring-Tailed Lemur/Rock Hyrax Exhibit

July 26th, 2011.
I believe this is located in the area now called "Urban Jungle"

I'll leave it to you to decide if that constitutes a "themed" area...I understand other species now exhibited nearby include Indian rhinos, giraffes and donkeys......

Ah, the standard extra zone left over that has all the things that don't easily fit elsewhere or the zoo wants in taxonomic exhibits (see Primley at Paignton or Gruender-Garten at Leipzig - though both of those have historically-significant names rather than, well, a rubbish one like Urban Jungle).

No, I wouldn't call that a themed area! :D

Anyone know why walia ibex aren't held in captivity??? They would sure be a sight in the Bronx's Baboon Reserve!
