I personally think that this map is far superior to the old one, but unfortunately many of the new names (Urban Jungle, Africa Rocks) are simply ridiculous. Also, using the old names I firmly believe that for the most part the left-hand side of the zoo is outstanding (Ituri Forest, Gorilla Tropics, Absolutely Apes, Reptile House, Reptile Mesa, Tiger River, etc) while the right-hand side is very poor in sections (Cat Canyon, Bear Canyon, Outback, Elephant Mesa, and the hit-and-miss Elephant Odyssey). One thing that is shown on the map in tiny detail, but is not thoroughly understood until an individual is actually at the zoo, is how steep many of the pathways are. There are many switchbacks that need to be undertaken if one wishes to see each and every exhibit.
