Lost Forest - Monkey Trails and Forest Tales - Visayan Warty Pig Exhibit

This large area has many monkey exhibits as well as others for reptiles and amphibians, birds, pygmy hippos, and pigs.

Does anybody know why they don't exhibit the bearded pigs anymore?

I read somewhere on ZooChat that bearded pigs were being phased out of North American zoos. Does anyone know if that is true?

That is a surreal looking photo. Almost like a mountaintop rising up out of the clouds.

And no more bearded pigs in the U.S.? Bummer. (Unless they are being phased out to make room for marbled cats or sunda clouded leopards, in which case I am all for it! )

There are a handful in private collections though.
