Couldn't the headline be irritating for those who did not follow your review?
I presume that the animal in the pool is a Australian freshwater crocodile (C. johnsoni), not a false gharial.
The signage for this particular habitat wasn't the greatest, and the only reference I could find for any crocodilians was about gharials. Maybe some of our fellow ZooChatters in the San Diego area, know more about the species list for this Reptile Walk exhibit.
OtterLord indicated that the Australian freshwater crocodiles were in the gharial exhibit temporarily for some reason (http://www.zoochat.com/22/reptile-walk-review-284092/). Maybe the gharials are still in quarantine?
