...hey that's me!
Great lists, I can't get over the amount of Aussie species they had. Especially tiger quolls and Tasmanian devils! :)

I remember seeing and photographing the Tasmanian Devils. However I definitely didn't see the Tiger Quolls. I think I remember waiting for them to show themselves with no luck. Does anyone remember seeing Tiger Quolls at the San Diego Zoo?

I've been visiting the zoo on a regular basis since 1997 and I don't remember ever seeing tiger quolls. There are so many small cages in out of the way places that it is possible that I missed them, but it is definitely a species that I would remember. I wonder where they would have kept this animal? Maybe it was like the pangolins are now and it only came out for special keeper talks?

The zoo is advertising on their signs for the new Outback exhibit and in ZooNooz that the Tasmanian devils are returning, presumably in the near future. They were last here a few years ago over by the tree kangaroos.

I'll check my map (which has the names written on top of the actual exhibit) to see the exact location of the quolls. The return of Tasmanian devils is very exciting!

The tiger quolls were in those small cages directly to the south of the koala exhibit. I only saw it once.

Yes exactly what I had on my map (sorry forgot to post), Ituri do you remember actually seeing or photographing the San Diego Quolls?

Seeing? Yes. Photographing? Not so much. Heavy wire + sleeping ball of fur = not so good for photography

Do you know if those cages have all been removed as part of the new Outback exhibit footprint? I don't recall seeing them when I was there in October, but that whole zone is now behind a fence.

I don't know for certain, but from what I know of the project I would expect so.

Well Ituri I hope you've photographed them at some other point for your life list haha. Columbus perhaps?
