I remember seeing Rocky mountain goats (Oreamnos americanus) as a kid, I may have seen them at the Los Angeles Zoo as a kid also and not realizing it, back in the early to mid 1990s the San Francisco Zoo had them, does anybody know what part of the San Francisco Zoo they were held in, I would guess a paddock that was demolished to make way for Grizzly gulch, can somebody confirm this ???
Another interesting fact, Rocky mountain goats are the only living members of the genus oreamnos and are actually closer related to serows, chamois, and gorals then they are to goats in the genus capra
