Hard to see on the screen image, but are those scientific names in smaller type underneath the common names? If so, it is a miracle. In Elephant Odyssey there were no Latin names listed at all and I feared San Diego was doing away with that. (Not that anyone other than ZooChatters would really care, but sometimes it helps for my photo ID).
I for one care about scientific names on signage! One of my pet hates on zoo signage is lack of scientific names. It is literally two extra words on the sign! At Wellington Zoo (in NZ) not a single sign has a scientific name on it; it is reprehensible.
In this case, yes those are the scientific names under the common names. (But, against that, there is no other information at all which is equally as appalling).

What a wundrfull selection of birds, some realy selden seen in US and European zoos ! I would love to see the Squitter pigeon, the Fruit dove and the Wood swallows ! How are the breeding results with these birds in this aviary ?
