Here is a picture of the smaller enclosure next to this where I saw one bear:
(and apologies for the glare, especially in the attached picture, though I thought quite a few people would be interested in the Polar Bear enclosure.)
Prague Zoo is often hailed as one of the best in Europe, but this polar bear exhibit appears to be rather shocking and strangely similar to the old Mappin Terraces at London Zoo. Is it one of the most disappointing enclosures at the zoo?

I don't know but I tought that enclosure was ways smaller, don't know if it's the angle of the picture or somewhat.
Are the plans still the same to have a panda pair in the future?

I have now uploaded what I think is a fair representation of different enclosures of different standards with examples of some of the better enclosures and some that aren't so good (like this one) to give a bit of a general idea of standards at the zoo.

Yeah the plan to have a panda pair in the future is still there, but the current order of priorities is something like: 1. New Gorilla House 2. New Polar bear exhibit and then Pandas, but it´s very distant future.
I think the list of priorities is: parrot house - restaurant Gaston - gorilla house - Amazonie - polar bears and walrus
Then, there are plans for Australian section total renovation, overhaul of old gorilla house for smaller primates, hotel in old brewery, parking house, okapi, rhino, bonobo. And then, maybe, pandas.

Yeah, I didn´t included "minor" ones. Nevertheless, even if Prague would be able to have enough space for them, the money would still be a problem, sadly, same goes for every other Czech zoo even though I would rather see pandas elsewhere but Prague.
Thank you for the replies.
So the parrot house isn't completly financed?
I really like the plans of Prague, I just hope that don't many of the rarer animals need to leave the zoo because of some of these.
