Are the Sunis still there ? The US-Zoo visitors are really blessed with lots of these rare species, which vanished from european zoos... Mountain tapirs, sumatran rhinos, gerenuks, etc.

The 'funny' thing is that you can also turn it around. Lots of things are no longer found in the US but are in Europe.

No, Sunis are gone from US zoos as well now. There might possibly be some still in private hands, but I'm not sure.

I don't even think he has any. I think there might be a single pair left in private hands. I asked the studbook keeper about this last year and she knew of none left.

Which species, vanished from the US zoos were still kept in Europe ? Don´t know one, even if I think really hard about it...
