Soemmering's Gazelle

Probably the most beautyful gazelle species. Unfortunately,we don't have that species in europe.

Nice shot ... If I know correctly, Hanover Zoo maybe the only one in Europe which exhibited this species between 1958-1971, and again in 1982. If You know more European locations, please let me know ...

Hannover wasn't the only zoo in europe with soemmering gazelles. Naples has kept and bred them certainly, but I'm not sure about Rome and Paris, both zoos has kept huge collections of gazelles, and I think, rome got them from naples.

Paris Zoo has kept them also, I've found the information in a zoobook from the sixties.
