These exhibits were located in the area now occupied by the Johnston's Crocodile/turtle exhibits at the end of Reptile Mesa. There were three of them. I recall all three holding American Alligators when I saw them.
I have few more to post but unfortunately not of those areas. It was my first trip to the zoo, I lived back east at the time and sure wished I would have taken a lot more photo's. I moved to LA a few years after these pix were taken and eventually became a member of the zoo. A lot has changed, some good and some not so good. I would love to see more pix from the 60's & 70's and even earlier, I find it so interesting.
