For Australian wildlife enthusiasts, this photo was selected to appear on the cover of the Royal Zoological Society of NSW two volume publication "Kangaroos, Wallabies and Rat Kangaroos".
I lodged a dozen or so slides with the National Photographic Index of Australian Wildlife (NPIAW) in 1985, running out of the Australian Museum. At the time it was run by Ronald Strahan, long-serving member of the Royal Zoologicl Society and former director of Taronga Zoo. He's also a good friend of the editor, Mike Archer, who probably thought it would be a good place to find a good cover shot. I think it was used again in a Women's Weekly book on Australian Wildlife. The NPIAW wrapped up operations some years ago.
