Krefeld Zoo in Germany maintains a very small breeding group; I believe a few were sent to one of the Berlin zoos a few years ago but I do not know of their fate.
Subsequent to marketing their anoas as mountain anoa, San Diego reclassified all of them as being of the lowland species.
@Jana: Mountain anoas are currently kept in Berlin Zoo too, when I visited the zoo in 2005, this informatiom was confirmed to me, Berlin zoo was the first with breeding success in 1972, they have given some animals in Krefeld, and the offspring in Krefeld was given in Decin and Berlin, there is no hope to import new animals, they will be phased out from the european zoos, they do not breed anymore owing to inbreeding.
