I was disappointed to miss this species at SDZ, as it is one of the few Australian species on display outside Australia but not in Australia. Although the North American popualtion may be descended from birds from New guinea rather than Australia.

Interesting that this species is not kept in Australia Zoo.
I saw two birds in Parker (+ bower) & Owens Aviary last March.
Central Park Zoo in New York also kept this species.
Thanks Semioptera, the signs I saw (June 2014) for this species were on one of the Australian aviaries next to the Tasmanian Devils, I don't recall them being signed in either of the aviaries you mention.
