Yes, this is the second giraffe birth I have witnessed at the zoo. My photos from the second birth are a lot better than the first one. I got there about 12:15 and the front hooves were visible. The head presented at about 1:15 and delivery was about 1:28. He didn't accomplish standing up and nursing until about 2:03. He was out with the rest of the herd running around yesterday.
Nervous laughter, cheering, oohs and awes, encouragement when he tried to stand, groans when he failed, and clapping when he accomplished standing and nursing.
