Tiger exhibit

May 13, 2016. Before the renovation (splitting habitat into two), the back fence was covered with bamboo. I never realized there is a visitor path on the other side of the fence and now there is additional viewing available from the upper fence area in this photo. That path leads into Scripps Aviary.

It has already been split in two and I am not entirely sure why. My guess (and it is a guess) is to allow two tigers to be out at once for additional visitor viewing.

I think your guess is correct. San Diego now has 3 Malayan tigers. Two and a half year old littermates Cinta and Berani and their 4 year old brother Connor. As of now the littermates are on exhibit together but that could change at any time.
