San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park

Male Lion that did not move from the land rover the entire day!
It still bugs me how the JiA station and track interfere with what was once a great example of a predator/prey exhibit. It used to look like if a cheetah was so inclined he could take off down the hill after a gazelle. Now it looks like the cat would have to run across traffic to do so.

Well at least now the park is getting money for it. The WGASA was free, which is great for WAP visitors, but not for the park. Now they will be able to build better habitats like Tiger Trails, and double the size of the already enormous elephant exhibit.

I'm sure that money goes into operating costs, not new exhibits. Anyway, I did have another question. Is it $10 per ride?, the best value ticket that includes the JiA, is that good for only once? We used to ride the WGASA at least twice per visit.

For those of us who haven't been to the WAP in years - what are those other acronyms?

and WGASA?

WGASA: it simply sounds African and therefore was the chosen name even though it is technically not an actual word. The official answer is World's Greatest Animal Show Anywhere but in reality it is Who Gives A **** Anyway!" - page 226 of Douglas G. Myers informative book on Dr. Charles Schroeder (Mister Zoo).
