San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park

Male Lion that did not move from the land rover the entire day!
Well, when Tiger Trail opens guests will be able to get a panoramic view of the Asian Field exhibit with the Indian Rhinos. You will be able to watch as long as you like which I think will redeem the WAP after WGASA's closing.

The lions seem to love the land rover. The two females were snoozing under it around the end of the day while the male napped on top. I think the land rover fits well in the 1 acre savanna.

I'm a member of the SD Zoo, and first off, if anyone is visiting both parks, even just once, and have someone going with, you should just buy the membership which comes with 2 free guest passes, it's quite a bit cheaper. Although I'm not sure if the same rates apply for people living further away.

Anyway, the monorail was better because it took you to the asian field, the mountain exhibit, texas longhorns, and bonobo's among other animals/exhibits.

But like Black Rhino said, once the trails to the asia field and the bonobo's are up, the JiA will be just fine. I've also experienced shorter lines for it which is a plus.

Where exactly is Tiger Trails going to be located? Is it replacing the current (large) tiger exhibit, or going in elsewhere?

Yeah, that's probably what I mean.

It will go where the tigers currently are as far as I know with dholes going where the adjacent lion exhibit is.

The exhibit complex itself sounds like it will go from the current tiger exhibit south all the way to Kilima Point (encompassing the area of the current suspension bridge as well)

During my visit, the male lion never left the jeep!

About JIA, I actually really liked it, but I never got a chance to ride WSAGA so I would'nt be able to compare (Altough it sounds amazing, I've seen a video of the old bonobo exhibit and it looks amazing, are they still here?)
