Do they go by any other name because that name doesn't sound like the one the keeper gave or I might just not remember correctly?

I am not sure if this even is a Esfahan mouflon, as it looks too light, but I'll defer to fofo's judgement.

I'm not questioning whether either of you is right. I just thought the keeper had given a different name.But you both seem to know what your talking about more than me.

I think fofo is also correct. I've looked around for another common name, and couldn't find one. However, many zoos will use a common name not used anywhere else.

Very impressive. I saw a (very distant) wild mouflon in southern Spain last year. Coat was much darker, kind of a deep blue-gray, but still had the characteristic white section like this.
