old monorail track

This is from the bridge going towards the elephants or Condor Ridge. The end of the track in this photo is where the new elephant crossing is, which connects the two african elephant yards (formerly separate yards for african and asian).

Anyone who has been to the park when they had the monorail and since it was gone knows that the park will never be as good as when they had it. (The fact that the field exhibits seem to have a lot less animal species as well only expounds this feeling).

However, the addition of the cheetah run, lion camp, and the forthcoming tiger complex may help to redeeem the park for a cat lover like me ;). (If they really want to regain my loyalty, all they have to do is throw in a small cat exhibit in Nairobi Village!)
