Taken 6-1-15. Tiger Trail is the newest exhibit complex at the park, opened in 2014. It consists of 3 exhibits for Sumatran Tiger, a children's play area themed to an illegal logging camp in a rainforest, and a visitor center called Sambutan Longhouse that has viewing areas for two of the exhibits and a small cafe.

Hey kiddies...come over and see if you can pull a chain-saw out of a log! Hey mom and dad...the waiver form is right here for you to sign!

In all seriousness, having a play area adjacent to a world-class $20 million complex is not a bad idea and the illegal logging camp theme is a modern twist on basic swings and a slide.

I doubt many (if any) children get the theme - for them it is just a play area. However if the parents get it, then maybe it is worthwhile. Of course this only effective if the parents are given specific ways that they can help curb the decline. I do not remember from my visit, is there any education signage about consumer impact? I mean things like don't buy products with palm oil, don't buy teak or mahogany doors, etc?

There is a bench made of sustainable wood products in the play area, engraved with the names of the types of wood of which it is made; that is the only direct-impact signage I noticed.
