There are no plans AT ALL! In fact there are three horrible and outdated exhibits like this. Both Polar Bears have exhibits like this and the Andean Bear has one as well. The Polar Bears are on "rotation" in an exhibit in between their horrible ones that is all grass. They are said to be on a daily rotation, I don't believe that to be true. One definitely gets more time than the other. The poor Andean Bear has no access to grass at all and hasn't for three + consecutive years. The SFZOO see's no problem with this and in fact rationalized it in the media by saying "its what they are used to."
