Grizzly Bear Grottos

The two bears in it are brothers, who had to be caught, because they attacked some farms.

Didn't they build a new Grizzly bear exhibit? Grizzly Gulch is it?

Is this the new exhibit or the previous one?

Indeed they have a new Grizzly Exhibit, called Grizzly Gulch. This one is the older one, which i've seen in 2005.

Yeah, but this one does not look as bad as other grottoes across North American zoos.

It is a typical north amercian bear grotto, I've seen a lot of them during my two zootours in 2002 and 2005.

This grotto is the meadow I referred to in my post regarding the Polar Bear grottos. One of the Polar Bears has access to this meadow. The Grizzly sisters, have a grotto with decent vegetation landscaping adjacent to the Gulch exhibit. The remaining three cement grottos should and could look like the Grizzly's grotto.

As far as bear grottos go this one isn't so bad seems a decent size and at least it has grass , all be it a bit short , rather then concrete

This is a newer Grotto about 2005ish as stated above. After the Grizzly's new exhibit was built in 07 i think, they moved to the end and have both the last Grotto (with vegetation) and the new Gulch (completely landscaped). That shook up the situation to its current state which is Grotto A- all cement for the Andean Bear, B- Cement for Polar 1, C- Grass filled Grotto (Polar rotation), and D-Cement for Polar 2. Polar 2 rarely see's grass, and the Andean Bear is the true victim, having not felt grass for over three years.
