Other than the mandrill exhibit, and perhaps the patas monkey enclosure, the entire Primate Discovery Center is badly outdated and mainly filled and constructed with non-naturalistic materials. The chimp and orang enclosures are amongst the worst of their kind in North America, and the abundance of concrete made this area outdated from the moment it opened to the public many years ago.

The aye-aye nocturnal hall is very good too, and their lemur exhibit may be the best on the west coast, if not the U.S. Did you get a chance to visit it? No doubt a primate overhall (renovation of this building and bulldozing of the chimp "exhibit") would be a great start on fixing the zoo.
