Outside of the Koret Animal Resource Center was "Hawk Hill" (http://www.zoochat.com/604/childrens-zoo-hawk-hill-158887/), where the raptors were tied down because they are used for presentations and cannot have their wings clipped. A few years ago, new aviaries were built for the birds so that they would not have to be exhibited in such harsh conditions (http://www.sfzoo.org/images/gallery/exhibits/arc/arc-birds.jpg).
