Sifaka Exhibit

New Sifaka Exhibit
New Sifaka Exhibit. The Outdoor portion is around 45 feet long and about 20 feet wide. There are 5 sets of fake alluadia? trees as well as a large fake baobab tree in the exhibit for them to climb on and leap from

What is your impression of the new sifaka exhibit? From the photos it looks like it is large with lots of bouncing opportunities.

On a related primate exhibit note, do you know what the current state of the nocturnal hall is? Is it just sitting empty now that the aye-ayes are gone?

It's quite large, and has excellent viewing opportunities for visitors. But given how big the enclosure is, parcituclarly in height, I feel that there could've been a few more higher climbing structures/fake trees and or real trees to give the Sifakas more jumping opprtunities and make the exhibit seem more natural. Also a feeding platform wouldve been nice. The exhibit felt a bit sterile.

The Nocturnal Gallery sits empty. There has been some talk of bringing in New nocturnal primates however. Not sure what exactly
