Old zoo map

There have been many changes to the zoo since the development of this map, for example bald eagles live in the former bear grotto, the children's zoo is now exploration outpost, the australian yard has been phased out and the swamp wallabies were sent to edinburgh zoo, monkey island is now amazons edge, there are many other changes also

Do you know what year this map was produced? And do you think many people wondered what sort of tree was shown next to the guanaco? :D

Zooboy28, I do not have an exact date, but my best guess would be the 1970s or 1980s, and about the "tree" I don't think it's a tree, I think it is supposed to be a map of South America

Thanks for that ungulate nerd.

I was just joking about the "tree"! :D

What kind of bears did the Santa Ana Zoo have? Black bears?

They had 2 American black bears (Ursus americanus), they lived in what is now the Bald eagle enclosure, the bears were sent to a zoo in Mexico in the late 1980s or early 1990s
