Yes, this is. The Commerson's Dolphins are currently off-exhibit so that the bat rays could continue to be one exhibit during construction of the new rollercoaster/ray exhibit called "Manta". The logic in this move eludes me.
It is too bad that they wouldn't have actual manta rays rather than bat rays. I have never seen a manta ray and am not aware of any in west coast aquariums. Actual manta rays might actually lure me to Sea World.
Am I the only one smiling about the fact, that Eastern Pacific species like bat rays and leopard sharks are exhibited in a tank that is part of "Journey to ATLANTIS"?....
