I've visited approximately 60 aquariums in my lifetime (mainly all in the U.S.) and Shedd is still my all-time favourite. I love the 1930 exterior that turns into a 21st century interior, along with the rows of fantastic exhibits. It costs $40 for an individual to enter the facility, plus $20 for parking, plus the hassle of Chicago traffic...but the struggle is all worth it in the end.
