The huge, grassy cheetah enclosures are brillant for the big cats but a tad frustrating for zoo visitors. It took me a long time just to spot one of the elusive animals.
When I went back in 2007, I saw at least one in every cheetah exhibit they had. In the exhibit in the photo I saw two sleeping under the termite mound/shelter. Also, the zoo seems a lot lusher than when I went. I went in April and most trees still did not have leaves.
I visited the zoo in late July and so it was pretty much at the height of summer. The lush foliage really added to the quality of the enclosures, particularly in the brilliant Asia Trail section of the zoo.
