I'm not surprised to see that a lot of the grassy areas have been worn down since opening day, but now at least the habitat looks less like a golf course! It seems as if quite a few viewing areas are situated so that the public looks down upon the elephants, perhaps more so than the majority of other recently developed elephant exhibits. Is that true?
I believe you were able to view the elephants on a lower level which would bring you closer to them. But the only viewpoint I found where you looked at them straight on was the section of Elephant Outpost. Someone please correct me if there are other eye level points.
