April 19th, 2013: I don't know why wallabies live in this African-themed area. Maned Wolves are also misplaced into this area.

It's so large because Emus used to share this space with the wallbies. I believe the Double-Wattled Cassowary exhibit was split in half and one half given to the Emus.

It is so large because it was built for ungulates. This complex was built in 1966 and was dedicated to delicate hoofstock in 1976.

I believe the kudu will go there too. But only after the lone wallaby passes away first.

What they really need to do with this area of course is clear out the cheetahs and Australian animals, put up a taller fence, build a tall barn and WALLAH - their new giraffe exhibit.

Really? No Cheetahs in the Cheetah Conservation Center?:p The wallaby is the last Australian animal there but they do have Maned Wolf(ves?) there as well.
