RIP Invertebrate exhibit May 7, 1987 ? June 21, 2014

This was a really disappointing loss. I hope that the zoo opens a new version of it someday.

When people were complaining because they had to close it they mentioned how they eventually want to build a hall of biodiversity which will include invertebrates.

Yes but an exhibit including invertebrates would hardly do justice for replacing an exhibit dedicated to invertebrates.

Inverts >>> Birds all day. However, continuing rejuvenating that area hooking into updated utilities in the surround area from Americas and Asia trails make sense.

I agree I would rather see Inverts over Birds but the Bird house needed to be upgraded badly and they already started funding for the project so it just made sense to them.

I still remember going to the Invertebrate House during my Elementary School field trip and seeing an Octopus for the first time. Rest in Peace, Invertebrate House. You'll always be in our hearts.
