Are all of these bird species new to the alligator farm? I seem to remember you mentioning a new exhibit in your recent review.

Sort of, this exhibit was built in about 3 years ago. Originally it was an emu and galapagos tortoise pasture. And all of the birds were new to the gator farm. The birds I mentioned are in the new Australasian region of the park.

That's a cool enrichment idea. I've heard of paper mach buffaloes filled with meat being given to big cats, but never of such a prop being used for scenery as well.
