Very nice shot; the real question, of course, is whether this is a pure individual or not.

Thanks! The extremes of light and shade and the fact that a lot of the viewing windows were steamed up combined with crocs' habits of finding somewhere awkward and staying there meant that not many of the species photo'd as well as this one!

EDIT: plus of course, my having less than two hours to go round! This was one place I really could have done with a little more time (Miami was the only other place I felt I was leaving too soon, even the second time!), but if I wanted to do Lubee there was no option. And I did want to do Lubee!

I believe they are pure!

I'd have thought if anywhere had pure individuals outside Cuba, this would be it!

Excellent I was thinking in that direction, judging by the robustness of the animal pictured, but was not entirely sure.

I love and respect this species. Like, kernels dropped in a hot kettle! Always worked them like the big cats.
