The Great Down Under- ID? August 22, 2014. Scrub Python, right? I believe the only other option is White-Lipped Python (Leiopython albertisii).

That'd be odd as the signage read Morelia amethistina but I suppose they could have possibly mixed up the species?

The head looks wrong for a Timor, i'd say a rather dark scrub python.

Sorry, I was wrong. I don't think it's a scrub. Rather I think it's a Macklots python (Liasis mackloti). Final answer

I didn't even think of checking Liasis, silly me
Still not entirely convinced though, the colouring is right, but that's a very chunky head for a Macklot's...

The head isn't right for a scrub either, lol. It could be the angle, or it could just be a really obese snake.

My camera has a knack for taking photos that are a bit dark so the odd dark coloration could just be a result of that along with the fact that the enclosure itself was dark.
