Children's Zone Plan

This plan makes one believe that this section is completely dedicated to domestic/farm animals. I even wanted to skip the section on my visit, and I am glad I didn't, since the number of non-domestic species here (mostly waterfowl and pheasants) pretty much exceeds the number of species on outdoor exhibit in the rest of zoo. I believe this switch from domestic to exotic is fairly recent, and is not reflected on the plan. The rabbits enclosure at the very left of the plan (between the Activity Center and the chicken coop) now houses woodchuck; the chicken coop has various pheasants and junglefowl; all the ducks and most of the geese on exhibit now are non-domestic; there is a beaver in the central swans/geese enclosure; the cow pen at the bottom-right corner now has capybaras; and the llamas pen next to it has coscoroba and giant tortoises.
