I agree, they are amazing little animals. I've only seen them at the San Diego Zoo even though my home zoo also has them. The LA Zoo keeps them in an exhibit with LOTS of plants, which makes it impossible to see them. The San Diego Zoo also keeps them in a lush exhibit, but since the exhibit is small it makes it easy to see them.

So have they taken down the Duiker sign and put up the Royal Antelope sign? LA has them there on the map, but I haven't seen them change the signs yet. Of course you've been more recently than I have.

I haven't been to that exhibit in over two weeks, so I don't know if they have changed it yet. I'll be there on Saturday, so I'll check then.

Royal antelopes are much smaller than a rabbit. The animal on the picture is calf,. just a few weeks old and just teh size of a guiena pig...The exhibit at Lowry has plants and trees, but its not really lush, so its not hard to find them. But the roayl anteloeps are doing very well in this enclosure, tehy are not very shy.

Since when is La keeping them ? Maybe together with other species ?

I'm not really sure when they started keeping them because they were backstage for a while. They were recently put on display in the former Red-flanked Duiker exhibit and have already produced one calf! They do share the exhibit with White-crested Turacos and Superb Starlings.

To be honest, I don't even know if they removed the Duikers from that exhibit, so maybe they are also sharing the exhibit.

Where was this animal found, I didn't see it at the Lowry Zoo during October. Was it on the safari trip.
