Actually this is my mistake - it is definitely a sandhill crane and I don't know which subspecies Lowry Park has. It's just that in my native language (Russian) the sandhill crane is actually called Canadian crane (and the whooping crane is called American crane) so I accidentally applied Russian name translated into English. I do this sometimes
