Interesting (some on this site would say disappointing) that an AZA accredited zoo that for years was part of the sumatran tiger SSP would replace their sumatrans with white tigers. I have a strong suspicion that was to compete with nearby Busch Gardens.

I think that when Enshalla, their female Sumatran Tiger escaped and had to be killed, they couldn't find a female companion for their male Sumatran Tiger. I think they sent him to another zoo and gave a home to the white tigers. Either way, only one elderly White Tiger is still here, and there are Malayan Tigers.
The elderly Bengal Tiger rotates with the Malayan brothers. Considering how the zoo housed a female Bengal, a male Bengal, two Bengal cubs, and a Sumatran all at once before, they probably have no problem housing this many. Maybe when the Bengal passes away, a female Malayan will be brought in to breed.
