Ellipsen Waterbuck

Thanks Thylo - Bay Duiker, Royal Antelope and Key Deer are the big ungulate 'targets' for me at Lowry Park so glad to hear they were all in evidence!

Common Duikers I've seen once before in San Diego but will have my fingers crossed for them - hopefully Gerenuk and Black Duiker will present themselves at Miami, where I will have been a couple of days previously if all goes to plan.

By my count, my Lowry Park visit is scheduled for 11 weeks today - the countdown continues! :D

The Steenbok was also missing during my visit.

No problem!:) You may need to look for a minute for the duiker as well as, as I said before, their enclosure is large and has high grass but I saw two or three duikers in it so hopefully you'll have luck as well. The Bay Duiker is actually only my second duiker species- after Maxwell's:p

For the Royal Antelope, when you exit Expedition Africa, to the right will be a Wattled Crane enclosure. Follow that up a bit and you'll see a small, largely missed trail with a large cage. Inside you'll find Trumpeter Hornbill, White-Faced Whistling Duck, Spotted Whistling Duck, Yellow-Necked Francolin, and your Royal Antelope:)

Well good luck seeing Gerenuk and Black Duiker!:)

Have fun in the U.S.!

Would you mind pming me about your trip to the States?

Cheers - I'd assumed the Steenbok was a relic as I could find no other reference to it anywhere.

Just had a PM clearout as by inbox was full - feel free to drop me a line! :)
