Obviously they're incredibly scarce in the wild, and a very worthwhile species to keep, but over here in Europe they are very common as zoo exhibits - Zootierliste lists 99 collections with them, compared to just three with Southern Bald Ibis (Cologne, Walsrode, Blackbrook (hooray!) ). Part of this is doubtless due to their educational value as a highly-endangered-and-just-about-European species, so I just wondered how widespread they were elsewhere.
