This superb giraffe/ostrich habitat seems endless from certain angles, as the green hills form a spectacular backdrop. The large paddock is on a slight slope down towards the viewing area, and there is a shallow pool there that entices animals to be found near humans.
It actually to me is quite reminiscent of Phoenix's African Savanna, just with fewer species. The plant geek in me wishes that those were at least Phoenix (date) palms instead of Washingtonia, but I'm sure they had their reasons.
