Being pessimistic, I was able to find bad news in good news: The meerkats have been allowed to stay at Maritime until Labor Day, though they should have left in February. The bad news? They're leaving some day...
Ah, well, it was nice while it lasted. Maybe something better will take its place!
However, I do believe that this was one of the first few places where I've seen meerkats. I'll miss them... ...even though they never did much while I was there.
