Panamanian Golden Frogs

Huge frog exhibit at the Maryland Zoo.My sister is maybe 4\' 6 and its about 2 of her.

Sadly, the panama golden frog has disappeared from its native country. the largest breeding group on earth is in baltimore. so this exhibit is very special. a nice docent explained all this to me when i visited this fall.

I don't know how accurate the numbers in ISIS are, but it says that the Maryland Zoo has 40.46.32!!! The next highest is the Baltimore Aquarium at 12.10.

Both the Maryland Zoo and National Aquarium work together to establish, not only the Panamanian golden frog population, but also Poison dart frogs. Both have the one of the most successful breeding programs for amphibians. Its really great
