Duiker Cage

Aug. 5th, 2014.
I think Bib was being sarcastic... Even though he's promised to ease up on the "black humour" as he likes to call it!

I did fully get the sarcasm, it's just not that apparent if you don't know the users history! ;)

I did-but if you see such"exhibits", its impossible to comment them not sarcastic, you know. ( it wasn't balck humour-by teh way...)Other members here did the same....and I belive, most belive know, when a comment is sarcastic, if they see such pictures, isn't it ?A little bit of sarcasm can't be wrong....;)

By the way-if they do a second floor in that cage, they can keep a second duiker in it-the cage is hig enough...:D:D

Seriously, it would be better to rename that Park into Timbavati wildlife Jailhouse...In germany, such an institution would have no chance to exist in that way...what about the laws in the Usa ?

Is there any sort of animal rights body in America that has the power to put an end to this sort of animal attraction (zoo is too grand a word to use for what is essentially someone's living trophy collection). Can the American version of the RSPCA (Is it ASPCA?) confiscate animals from an attraction in the same way that they'd be able to do it to a private individual?

I have contacted (via phone and email) the Wisconsin Humane Society and their advice was to first contact the AZA (Association of Zoos & Aquariums) but Timbavati is non-accredited and I'm not sure that the AZA will be interested although I'll make an attempt. Also, I was told that I could contact the local police but what we need is a Wisconsin-situated ZooChatter to take on that responsibility.

This muntjac cage appears spacious by comparison:
