These aviaries are fabulous for the real hard-core visitor, especially the repeat visitor.A casual once-off visitor is unlikely to give such an aviary more than a passing glance.Careful observation of this exhibit would slow down their "lap time" and mean missing out on other essential features on their itinerary.HAving a good long look at this type of exhibit is a real badge of distinction for the die-hard zoo fan and is almost a code, like the handshake of the Freemasons.Obviously, I refer to such an aviary emplaced in a general collection , rather than a birdpark, which generally attracts a majority of enthusiasts and connoisseurs in the first place.
