Big Cat Country (cougars and jaguars) was just added in 2011, and other recent additions include American black bears in Bears in Your Backyard (2005), being AZA-accredited for the first time ever (2006), a carousel and Australian Walkabout (2008), gibbons (2009), an aquarium exhibit (2010), a Komodo dragon exhibit (2012) and Sea Lion Sound (2013) for the zoo's 50th anniversary. For a relatively small zoo the attendance is impressive at over 500,000 annual visitors and there seems to be something new every year.
