There certainly aren't that many Komodo dragons in aquariums (Mandalay Bay springs to mind) and how long would it take to tour Virginia Aquarium? Two hours? Would it be realistic to visit Virginia Zoo and the aquarium in the same day?
Hi There, no you are right, I can only thing of Mandaly as the other aquarium, however I always thought their exhibit was too small.
Anyway in answer to your question, yes you can do both in the same day. The aquarium can be 2 to 3 hours depending if you walk the 1/2 wetland trail from the main building to the Otter building. Well worth the walk unless it is too cold or too hot. They do supply rides if you need it.
I don't remember much about the zoo, other than it is about 30 minutes away from the aquarium. It was several years since I was there last.
