Jana: já se ZOO Praha ptala, proč je to tak mělké řekli, že lachtani potřebují zajímavý a členitý, nikoliv hluboký bazén. A popravdě... myslím, že ZOO ví lépe, jak co dělat a jakou péči zvířatům věnovat, než diskutující na foru
Woxys: Pokud lachtani nepotřebujou hlubokej bazén, tak proč ho v jinejch (zahraničních) zoo teda stavěj standartně mnohem hlubší? A s tou členitostí nevím nevím, co jsem mohla vidět, tak ten pražskej bazén má jednoduchej tvar "ledvina" s jedním nebo dvěma většíma kamenama uvnitř. Pokud něco zásadně v příštích dvou měsících nepřestaví, tak můj počáteční dojem trvá. Ale s tvojí poslední větou souhlas. Ráda se nechám od zoo příjemně překvapit.
Jana: to PŘESNĚ jsem si říkala já - proč je jinde hluboký? Vždycky mě mrzí mělké české bazény. Nicméně byla jsi někdy ve Vídni? Je tam nový OBROVSKÝ bezén pro lachtany - ale hloubka je opět v nejnižším bodě tak okolo dvou metrů. Nevím, proč to tak je, ale počítám, že ta ZOO musí vědět, proč to dělá. Třeba je dokázané, že v ZOO, kde mají nepříliš hluboký bazén odchovají více mláďat, nevím... ale věřím, že to má svůj důvod. ZOO Praha by na hluboký bazén jistě měla

Woxys: I´ve been to Schönbrunn. But their sealion pool was empty during my visit, so I didn´t pay attention how deep it was.

The seelion group in Liberec is made by 4 animals right now - male Nico (*2002 in Heidelberg), adult females Tina and Líza (both were 1994 wild caught in Uruguay) and a youngster female Mano (*2008 in Liberec).
